Own a piece of Iditarod history that you can wear! This is a rare offering for a special jacket. Sponsorship jackets, such as this one, are typically produced in limited quantities for mushers, staff, and partners, often making them rare collector's items.
Alaskan Amber, a 2005 Iditarod sponsor, produced this stunning blue nylon jacket with black trim.
The logo is embroidered on the back, along with a bottle of Alaskan Amber in the corner. The label says it is SMALL; but Jane wears a 2 XL and it fits her! Approx. measurements are:
- shoulder to shoulder measure 18½"
- armpit to armpit is 23½"
- neck to hem is 24"
and the sleeve is 24 inches long with with elastic and velcro closures for extra warmth.
Jane writes, "I purchased this wonderful jacket 20 years ago, as "used" although it looks new to me; I have never worn it. I cannot find any flaws." Comes from a non-smoking home.
This seems like a lightweight jacket, but has all these additional closures for keeping in body heat!
- a high collar as you would expect
- full zipper closure, with an added placket that snaps closed
- a hidden, folded hood with a toggle drawstring
- a drawstring waist and hem
- 2 zippered pockets
The front of the jacket is embroidered with "Alaskan Amber Official Sponsor".
There is a reserve on this item which has not been met.
